Formed in 1992 by Steve Cluff and Bryan Ketton, Brystewood has expanded from a small 3000sq ft factory in Nottingham to its current 23000 sq ft manufacturing capacity at present across 2 sites. Our target was always to manufacture special fire doors in 2/3 weeks a task which it still achieves today. More complex doors involving CNC ironmongery PVC and glazing take longer due to supply chains but an average of 4 weeks on complex door sets remains our target. 1996 saw expansion into Factory 1 at Bilsthorpe in Nottingham 2004 increased further the expansion of doors and ironmongery as sets with a Partnering arrangement with Turentek Ironmongery. Factory 2 was set up in Jan 2006 giving us a high capacity of standard size door sets for house building a apartment sector Both factories have benefited from investment in state of the art computerized CNC routers, Sanders and Moulders for door frame stock. This enable us to produce up to 160 doors per day per shift currently. 2007 brings further products on stream with a more competitive FD120 doors sets a new Class 4 security doors and further improvements to our range of acoustic doors.
